Study in the United Kingdom

University of Gloucestershire

Picture
LEB has opened a special pathway for Malaysian students to study abroad via direct placement at the University of Gloucestershire (UOG) in the Bachelor of Business Management and Strategy programme.

This placement is part of a special route offered to students enrolled in the LEB Professional Diploma (dual programme). Through this pathway, students are exempt from traditional entry requirements such as A‑Levels or IELTS scores. Instead, eligibility is based on achieving a good grade in the English subject at the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.

Notably, eligible students will be placed directly into the final year of the degree programme at UOG, meaning their study period in the UK is compact—only nine months—before graduating with a recognised bachelor’s degree.

This initiative not only saves time and cost but also gives students access to world‑class learning and opportunities to build global networks in an international environment. Given the success of this pathway, LEB plans to expand the programme into technology fields. From 2026, LEB will begin placing Malaysian students at UOG in the Bachelor of Computing programme.

Student Accommodation

Picture
The first two students from Malaysia have successfully begun studies in the Bachelor of Business Management and Strategy programme at the University of Gloucestershire (UOG) through the special pathway provided by LEB. They are Muhammad Syazwan Syamil Mohd Syukri and Nur Afrina Damia Akhtar Husseini.

Both students live in university accommodation about a 30‑minute walk from the Oxtalls campus. This distance has not been a burden for them, as the route to campus is safe, clean and pedestrian‑friendly. They even regard the walk as a healthy daily routine.

The university housing is designed to meet students’ needs: each student has a private room with an en suite bathroom, providing comfortable privacy for living and study. Kitchens and common living areas are shared considerately among residents, fostering a friendly, community atmosphere.

Moreover, UOG’s strategic location in southwest England, combined with efficient public transport, allows them to visit London and other major UK cities—especially on weekends. The success of these two students not only opens doors to overseas education but also ensures a balanced international experience of academic learning and personal development.
